Week 2 Running Camp

Service Description
This is a week long running camp that will cover the fundamentals of running for kids ages 10 to 14. We will go over proper warm up techniques and why we perform specific drills. We will do stretches to create more flexibility and lessen the likelihood of any injury. This is followed by a run, around 2 miles a day ending the week off with a 1 loop (~1 mile) race around Sehmel Homestead Park. We will mix in other activities such as kickball, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, tag, and fun relay races. There will also be a different guest speaker each week that has an area of expertise in running providing valuable insight for runners of all experience. The camp runs Monday through Friday, 10am to 12pm. We will supply water but we encourage everyone to bring their own water and snacks to stay hydrated and fueled during the hot summer days.
